HFS AID was established in May 2022 to aid vulnerable communities in Mirpur and other impoverished areas of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan — working every day to relieve human suffering and combat poverty through education, healthcare, and community support. From seasonal relief to year-round healthcare and education support — here is where your donation goes to work in Mirpur, AJK. Since our first year, sacrificial meat has been widely distributed to deserving families during Eid-al-Adha, with volunteers delivering directly to the doorsteps of those living in and around the slums of Mirpur. Rations delivered to over a hundred families in Mirpur and fifty families in Dadyal each Ramadan, plus Zakat, Sadaqah, Fitrana and cash support distributed to eligible families before Eid-al-Fitr. Monthly rations and food packages for duly registered, impoverished families, ensuring basic food security when the cost of living rises. Free textbooks, uniforms and school bags for students, plus financial assistance for orphans and deserving students so financial hardship never blocks access to education. Complimentary one-month medicine kits for patients managing chronic conditions, plus financial assistance for people facing cancer, kidney and liver illness. Financial support for children affected by thalassemia, improving access to medical care for families in the remote regions of Azad Kashmir. Our objectives include, but are not limited to, three long-term goals for District Mirpur: A state-of-the-art health facility in District Mirpur delivering fundamental healthcare to all, in line with modern medical principles. A modern computer centre in Mirpur offering free IT tuition and coaching, opening the door to better employment for local students. A sports academy in Mirpur to promote children's health and physical development, alongside a designated World Day to raise awareness of fatal diseases. “We commenced our journey by declaring service as our motto. In the first phase, we arranged rations for hundreds of deserving and underprivileged families and organised financial assistance to meet their other essential needs.
